Thursday Night Giggles

Tonight, I'm simply in the mood to laugh. I have had the giggles for the last 20 minutes. It started when Josh accidentally elbowed me in the face and I started to cry. Ladies, have you ever started immediately crying and knew it was emotionally ridiculous, yet you couldn't stop? Well, that was me just a few minutes ago and then once I caught my breath, we both just started laughing our butts off.

Here are some things I have seen browsing pinterest this week. Some of these made me BELLY LAUGH!

Happy Friday :)

Thick Eyebrows: Love 'em or leave 'em?

So, since I am a freak about eyebrows, I thought I would post about thick eyebrows today. Do you love thick brows or hate 'em? I personally love them! I have always loved them! I haven't ever been a fan of the thin, penciled look, but that's not to hurt anyone's feelings...it is just simply not a good look for me. Also, my hair grows SUPER FAST, so in high school when I went for that thin eyebrow look, my brows would look really sloppy and messy after about 8-10 days. That's a QUICK turnaround time, people. I had to tweeze every other day to keep up. Now that I keep them at a thicker shape, I can get away only getting them waxed monthly. So, what's your take? Some thicker eyebrows and ombre hair make me swoon!!!

Product Review: Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub!

So, today while I was in the shower, I felt a strong urge to do a product review! I have never been a fan of Clean & Clear...not trying to hate, but when I buy a drugstore brand for my face, I default to Neutrogena. I love Neutrogena and that brand just works for me! So, how did I end up with a Clean & Clear product? Last summer, we were going on a trip so I hit up the $1.00 travel size products at Target. I wanted an exfoliator, and Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub (Oil Free) is the only product that was offered, so I scooped it...and I am SO GLAD that I did! This has stayed in my shower ever since I bought the little travel size.

My thoughts:

-It smells absolutely amazing!!!!!!! This product has a strong citrus scent that I absolutely love. Sometimes, when I don't even need to exfoliate, I just open up the bottle to smell it in the shower. Seriously...I sound like a freak, but it smells in.cred.i.ble.
-I am not sure why it is called a "morning burst" scrub. I use this anytime I want, whether it be when I wake up or exfoliating after washing my face and removing makeup at night. I am thinking that the strong scent could possibly be why it's a morning scrub...because it sort of "wakes" you up!
-Confession: I use this as an all over exfoliator. Not just for my face...why? Because I sometimes like to exfoliate my legs before shaving...I feel like it makes them smoother before a shave. Also, I like to use this on my arms and then slather lotion on when I get out of the shower. I can't explain it...I just love this stuff.
-I love love love the texture. It is an exfoliator, with a gel base. So, even though it's removing dead skin, it still feels like it's hydrating me at the same time. Does this make sense? Probably not until you take the plunge and try it yourself!
-Price: $6.99 at Walgreens (and worth every penny). I am sure prices very at different drugstores/online.
**Last thought- while writing this post, "exfoliator" has been underlined as if I'm misspelling it. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to spell it....um, sorry if I have had it wrong the entire time.

What exfoliators do you like? Is there another that I need to know about? It would take a lot of convincing to sell me on another, but I absolutely looooveeeee reading about other peoples' favorite products, so please share! Have a great hump day! It's almost the weekend :)

Walk in a manner worthy of your calling...

All too often, we forget about the Holy Spirit power living inside of us. At least, I know that I forget about it at times, and I'm done forgetting about it. I am in a bible study class called Precept Upon Precept and we are studying Ephesians. I highly recommend anyone that really wants to get into the word and break it down truth by truth, word by word, verse by verse to do this bible study. It's so in-depth and so great if you want to learn something new!

This has been one of the most powerful studies I have ever done. Paul urges us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called in Ephesians 4:1. I have pondered this statement a whole lot in the last two weeks. What does this mean exactly? I have taken it in quite a few ways. While we are not able to control the actions of others, we are in control of controlling ourselves. This can simply mean that we are in control of the way we start off our day. We are in control of waking up early enough to start our day off in prayer and in the word. I am so guilty of brushing this off until later in the day because I am not a morning person and because I get up early for work. But, this is honestly an excuse when you have a reality check with yourself. It can also mean simply answering kindly to someone who has spoken rudely to you or hurt your feelings. Instead of telling someone off, you can think to yourself, I need to walk in a manner worthy of the calling the Lord has placed on my life. Maybe it's a situation where you want to fudge on the truth a little bit. Like maybe you didn't get something done that you needed to and you have to answer someone. By coming clean and being honest, we are walking in a manner worthy to our calling.

I have read through Ephesians a lot in the last few years, and this verse has just really come to life in me. It's crazy how when we ask God to speak to us, He always comes through. He always brings a verse to life. Like I said, I have read this verse numerous times, but there have been 3-4 situations this week where I have felt my body tense up and I stopped and thought for a second about walking in a manner worthy of my calling. My thoughts immediately went to Jesus and how he walked out DEATH for me. Seriously, this can change your outlook on life. It's kind of hard to be mean to someone when you are thinking of your Savior dying for you....

Please do not be discouraged thinking of the way that your former self has responded to situations or the way that you carried your former self. Just start thinking about the fact that we have the Holy Spirit inside of us who gives us wisdom when we ask. He can and WILL help us when we ask. His word says He will, and I'm telling you, He has done it for me! If you don't believe me, read what John 14:12 has to say about it. These are some powerful words. Not my words, but the Lord's! Be encouraged!

"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

Hope you have a great week! I have been MIA lately. I don't know why, but blogging just seems to be seasonal for me. Sometimes I'm in the mood and sometimes I'm not...just being honest!
