So, I have this problem, and I figured it was time to confess it in blogland. In light of my CHRISTIAN music post I wrote yesterday, today I thought I would be a little raw witchy’all….ya huurd?
Confession: I love a really good rap…not all rap, but some rap. I have an issue with wanting to know every single lyric of a rap…even if the words are HORRIBLE. I have had this issue since I was a little girl, except back then it was the lyrics to Lisa Loeb’s “You Say.” Then, in 10th grade it was Kanye West/Jamie Foxx’s “Golddigger.” I’m pretty sure most of my friends have had the honor of listening to me show off and I spouted off every word with no shame…Ah, I am currently thinking of about 5 different times I have performed this for different people in the car. NBD. Now…….it’s Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.” I can’t help myself. So, basically I just wanted to know…am I the only one out there? Am I the only one who keeps the lyrics open in one window of Safari on my iPhone with the lyrics who literally reads/raps them every single time I hear the song until I fully memorize it? I can’t be the only one…….right? Does anyone else get this sick satisfaction when they can sing/rap really fast and know every note and lyric to the song? WHY does this give me a sick pleasure? In fact…..by writing this…..I seriously feel the need to go play “Super Bass” RIGHT NOW. I think the reason I love this song so much is because it’s a chick rapping and because other than a few bad lines, it’s kind of a cute love song (completely debatable). Oh, and I LOVE Nicki's blonde, little bob!!!
